I really enjoy your blog!
Chris is probably right.
When you play both mid and low limit games, subconsiously you put more energy-attention on your mid stakes decisions and obviously pay less attention to what is going on at lower limits.
THIS TAKES PLACE SUBCONSIOUSLY you do not really realize it.
It can be fixed!
Keep going!

		<description>Richard,

I agree with your thinking. Continue playing more hands and evaluate later. Your goal has been to obtain SNE and if you can make a ridiculus amount of money in the process so be it. Its too early in the year to make a change.

I have no doubt you will be able to obtain your SNE goal for 2010 with your current plan. My thinking is that when you play full ring tables from limits of 3/6 to 15/30, you dont really concentrate on all your tables only the higher limit tables. That could be the reason why your losing at the lower limits.

Making all tables High limit will make you concentrate more, earn more vpps, and make u far more money (tpirahna blog). Even if you play less tables your vpp/hand rate isnt dropping much and there are more tables available to play.

Good luck dude. Keep the blog rolling......

		<description>Chris,

Thank you for your advice. In response:

I had no problems winning on $3/$6 &amp; $5/$10 playing 20-24 tables during 2009. I had my good and bad months, but nothing like this. Playing less tables will of course increase my winrate, but I don&#039;t think playing 24 tables is the real problem as I&#039;ve always done it and also still win money on the higher limits playing 20-24 tables. That means my game can&#039;t be that bad (or I&#039;m running extremely good on the higher limits)

Either it&#039;s my game, my opponents or just a losing streak. I hope the latest or else the first, because the latest will even out eventually and the first thing I can work on myself. If my opponents really got better, I will have to improve my game above the level of the end of 2009 (which was my best period).

Mixing in SH might be a good idea if I could play SH. I never did play a lot of SH and I do think it will help my game a lot, but I doubt I would be a winner any higher then $2/$4 at the moment and that might even stretch it. For now that&#039;s not really an option.

I&#039;ll just play some more hands(50K) this month and see what happens with my winrate, if things get bad I might have to reconsider, but for now I have fate things will straighten out.

Thx for your input, I hope you have a blast when getting back to the online tables and wish you all the best!

		<description>Hi There,

First off Nice Blog!!!!!! and Good Luck in 2010.

Personally i like poker blogs that talk only about poker and not there daily lives unless poker related. Might make keeping a blog much easier for you. Not critizing just letting you know a readers view.

About poker......... I use too play exactly like you..... playing upto the max FR LH tables available on Stars. Did that for over 6 months until family/work got into the way. That was in 2008.....2009 didnt play one hand all year of online poker. Started making plans to work OP into my routine in 2010 but so far hasnt been able too. Really like the Vpp/Fpp that Stars provides and do agree a breakeven player can make a nice chunk of change if he plays consistently month in and month out and obtaining SNE (like your doing).

I question the way your doing that though. playing 18-24 tables and winning on a consistent basis is really hard to do (not impossible though). The way you consistently win at the higher limits suggests you should play all 10/20 to 30/60 FR LH and exclude all the lower limits 3/6 to 5/10. If your afraid you will not earn a high enough vpp/hr include some 10/20 6-man LH to occupy your time. Focusing on playing poker to win large chunks of cash as well as accumalating vpps/fpps beats out playing all those FR games.

My vpp/hand calculations over the last 10 days are the following:
10/20 SH LH is 2.16 per hand
15/30 SH LH is 2.24 per hand.

If not properly bankrolled for 10/20 SH LH maybe try 5/10. that vpp/hand is 1.34 per hand.

When I start playing (hopefully in February) i&#039;m gunna play 6 tables of 5/10 FR LH and 4 tables of 3/6 SH LH until i get the feel of online poker in my blood. After several months I hope I can get to play the higher Limit full ring games (3-4) and the remaining 6 tables at $10/20 6man.
